3-D Secure is a protocol that provides an additional level of security through two-factor authorization payment from a bank card (usually using a code from SMS).
CVV/CVC code is a code used to authorize payments on the Internet that is listed on the back of the bank card. VISA uses the designation CVV or CVV2, MasterCard - CVC or CVC2.
MCC code (MCC, Merchant Category Code) - merchant category code. It is a four-digit number and classifies merchants by the type of their activity for Visa, MasterCard, MIR payment systems.
AFT transaction (AFT, Account Funding Transaction) is a type of operation to send funds from the payer's card to the recipient's bank account (card2account). It is not the usual payment transaction, due to which, for example, if you pay by credit card, the payer will not have a grace period.
Terminal is a hardware and software complex that provides acceptance of Payments and payments to bank cards. The name of the terminal and its MCC code shall be indicated in the Payer's card payment history statement.
Ecom-terminal is the collective name for terminals with MCC codes used for online purchases.
AFT-terminal - a terminal configured to create AFT transactions and used as an alternative to Ecom-terminal. AFT operation is equated with the money transfer operation, due to which these terminals can be used for financial institutions, and have a different way of charging.
Authorization (preauth) is a type of operation in which the funds are blocked (frozen) on the payer's card (no actual debiting of the card takes place). Subsequently you can request payment within the amount of authorization or cancellation of authorization (Cancellation of authorization can also take place automatically at the request of the issuing bank in case the settlement is not completed after several days, the number of days depends on MCC code of the terminal, but at least seven).
Reversal of authorization (reversal) - the type of operation by which you perform the blocking of funds within the previously performed authorization. If payment was made for an incomplete amount of authorization, then authorization for the remaining amount is canceled automatically.
Payment - the type of operation in which the funds are debited from the payer's card. It can be performed as part of the preliminary authorization (at the same time it cannot exceed its amount), or independently.
Cancellation of payment (refund) - a type of operation that cancels an earlier debit (payment) and returns (full or partial) funds to the payer's card.
Single-stage payment - the payment scheme, in which the funds are debited from the payer's bank card (the operation with the type payment, without reference to authorization, is used).
Two-stage payment - a payment scheme in which you first block funds on the card (make authorization) and then make payment within the authorization amount or request cancel authorization.
Recurring payment (autosubscription) - payment by token of full card details without re-entering card details, initiated by you.
Card tokenization - the process of saving payment data, where the card number and other sensitive information is entered and stored in accordance with PCI DSS standards on Mandarin servers. You get a token, which will be the card's identifier.
Card token is a unique alphanumeric combination that is used as a card identifier. The set of actions with the token depends on the set of initially saved data, as well as on the status.
Tokenization of full card data is the type of operation that tokenizes the card and also verifies it: payment of the control amount and then cancels the payment.
Payout to card is a type of operation, in which funds are credited to the recipient's bank card from your bank account within seconds.
Checkback - a procedure in which the amount of the payment is debited from the recipient without acceptance and returned to the payer, after which the obligation to prove the truth of the transaction is imposed on the recipient.
RRN (retrieval reference number) - a unique identifier of the transaction in the system of the bank issuing the payer's bank card.
SMEV (system of interdepartmental electronic interaction) - russian government information system, which allows government agencies, banks and other participants in the system to exchange data required to provide public services to citizens and organizations in electronic form. Verification of an individual's personal data in the SMEV system is a prerequisite for his or her simplified identification.
Merchant - a legal or natural person who accepts money from customers or pays out money.
Marketplace - a merchant (a legal entity only) that has the ability to send deposit/withdrawal requests on behalf of other merchants (sub-merchants).
Submerchant - a merchant (a legal entity or an individual) whose account is credited (in case of payment acceptance) or debited (in case of payments) on request from the Marketplace.
ESP (Electronic Payment Facility) - a means or method allowing the customer to accept and send money transfers using bank cards. Limits on the amount of transfers depend on the level of identification (ESP 1, ESP 2, ESP 3).
